Hello Friends!

A love relationship with nature has always been central to my life. I grew up in Colorado where very weekend brought backpacking, hiking, snowshoeing, skiing, and ice skating. Early on we were taught to leave each place we visited untouched so others could enjoy it. I was lucky to have a talented family that also enjoyed the arts. We were encouraged to draw and paint what we saw and did. We were also educated on the names and growth cycles of the trees, plants, and flowers that we saw.

Art became part of my life, even in grade school, when a few of us were selected to work with the art teacher every day. As I grew up, I began to capture what I saw on film using photos as inspiration for paintings.

As a college student I studied art and music, bu twas discouraged from pursuing either as a career choice due to the program cuts projected by the public schools are that time.

I moved to Kansas with my daughter in my late 30’s to pursue a career as a School Psychologist through the program at KU. To my delight, a new world of plants and flowers were available to photograph and paint. I also discovered that Lawrence was also filled with artists of every kind.

Following my career artwork filled my days, including photography, painting, jewelry making, and any craft that fit my mood.

Life is grand with an infinite number of inspirations each and every day.

Thank you.
